We were engaged by our clients for a complete overhaul of their yard, the brief was that they wanted their own ‘resort’ at home.

We worked with Nicki King Landscape Designs to design a yard that would make the most of the expansive views but also work with the sloping terrain. We did this by having a pool installed and creating a large undercover entertaining area off the back of the house, complete with French pattern Travertine, lush gardens & LED lighting throughout.

Meandering paths lead you through the garden down to the large lawned area. The fire pit nestled into the lower corner, looks back over a large sloping bank that has been planted out with bird attracting native grasses & ground covers. The fence lines have been planted out with Callistemon & Alyogyne which both flower profusely, helping attract bees & pollinators. As you loop around the lower garden from the fire pit a custom steel staircase draws you back up to the alfresco area, past a sandstone retaining wall softened with ground covers.

Custom crazy pave steppers surrounded with Dichondra ground cover lead the way through the garden to the pool area, complete with glass fencing for uninterrupted views across to the river flood plains.
